EDUCATIONAL EQUITY, CHANGE LEADERSHIP, & PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
CO-PLAN TO CO-SERVE COURSE
I created a course in Articulate Rise 360 to present school leaders and educators with an overview of the Co-Plan to Co-Serve instructional model and implementation needs. The Articulate Rise course included various multimedia elements and knowledge checks to support learning that could be used to provide an overview for new staff and/or school leaders. The presentation was originally created in Google Slides to present a more equitable model for teaching and learning within the school district.
The model was then implemented districtwide. The new model resulted in:
-
A growth in staff capacity in supporting all learners.
-
A reduction in student scheduling segmentation and pullout by label.
-
An increase in WIDA English Language Proficiency scores.
EQUITY ACTION PLAN &
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TIMELINE
As part of my Educational Leadership program, I evaluated current practices and analyzed quantitative and qualitative data to develop a long-range action plan to enhance educational equity within an elementary school (name changed to ABC Elementary). To map out the course of learning, I developed a timeline for professional development needs that ensured alignment to our plan, while maintaining flexibility based on student and staff needs. The action plan and professional development timeline were used at the school and district levels.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PLAN
I also created a school plan for continuous improvement based on academic, engagement, behavioral, and attendance data. Objectives and strategies were determined based on school needs and educational best practice research. Effect sizes listed were derived from Hattie's meta-analysis (2018).
ESL BILINGUAL PROGRAM CHANGE
I initiated a change in ESL/Bilingual programming within two school districts. An overview of the program change in one district is shown below. I evaluated current data and practices and provided research-based suggestions for improvement.

Following the presentation for leaders, I presented information on the change in ESL programming to school staff to provide an understanding of the need for change as well as an overview of the Co-Plan to Co-Serve model. I developed and curated resources for staff to review and utilize in planning throughout the implementation year. I attended and facilitated all Co-Plan to Co-Serve meetings until staff capacity increased and facilitation was able to move to grade-level team members on a rotating basis.
